Selling and Borrowing Are Different Choices

If you want the best possible price and are happy to let the watch go, selling is usually the better option. If the watch means something to you, or you expect to want it back, a loan lets you raise funds without giving up ownership. We do both, and we will tell you honestly which one suits your situation.

How a Watch Loan Works

Four steps from enquiry to funds, usually completed within 24 to 48 hours

Step 1

Submit your watch

Send us the brand, model and photos, plus how much you would like to borrow. Takes about five minutes.

Step 2

Authentication and valuation

Certified watchmakers verify the watch and assess its current market value. This determines what we can advance.

Step 3

Funds transferred

Accept the offer and we transfer the funds by instant Osko payment, usually the same day the watch is verified.

Step 4

Your watch is stored and insured

It stays in secure, insured storage for the term of the loan. Repay and it comes straight back to you.

Cost of a watch loan

Loans run from a minimum advance of $5,000 over terms of 3 to 12 months. A one-off setup fee of $400 covers authentication and insured storage for the term. Interest runs from 4% to 10% per month depending on the watch, the amount advanced and the assessed risk of the loan. The maximum annual percentage rate is 152%, which includes both interest and the setup fee, and applies at the highest monthly rate on the smallest advance over the shortest term. Because the setup fee is fixed, the rate works out lower on larger advances and longer terms. Your exact rate, the total amount repayable and the redemption date are confirmed to you in writing before any funds are released, and you are under no obligation to proceed.

Representative example: $10,000 advanced against a Rolex, over a 3-month term, at 4% per month, with the $400 setup fee. Total repayable to redeem the watch at the end of the term: approximately $11,600, an APR of approximately 64%. Repaying earlier reduces the interest payable.
